A combination of theatre skills development and performance, Primary Production is a full-scale theatrical production, culminating in several public performances. It takes students through the entire process from auditions, the rehearsal process, character development, direction, costume fittings, publicity and performance, culminating in public performances in Terms 3 & 4.
Students can also compete and be adjudicated at the Sunshine Coast Drama Eisteddfod. Complete commitment is required for this class, including attendance at all rehearsals.
In Term Three and Four this class may run later (5pm) as performance approaches and certain Saturdays will be involved (2-3 Saturday rehearsals).
Production Class is a PERFORMANCE class requiring a high level of focus, commitment and self-discipline. Entry to this class is by audition at the discretion of Acting Up!
Levies: Performance classes attract costume and rehearsal levies
An Acting Up! T-shirt (can be worn to class and for some publicity work) must be purchased
Grades 3-6, Wednesday 3:30-4:30pm (60 mins), $20 per class
