In a world of TikTok and YouTube
where it seems everyone is an expert at dance,
it can be daunting to get up and
“dance like no one is watching”.
Acting Up! believes that DANCE is for everyone to enjoy
and offers classes to kids who want to get their groove on and just have fun.
Classes are for all ability levels from beginner to more advanced and strictly non-competitive.
The aim is to have fun and feel confident of the dancefloor.
There are opportunities for our young dancers to perform throughout the year in class showcases as well as on film and stage.
Our dance students have real world performance opportunities
in our music videos for our Acting Up! YouTube Channel
and also in our yearly Broadway Spectacular.
Our Dance classes are also a great complementary addition
for our Acting and Musical Theatre students who want to improve their movement skills.

At Acting Up! we love to have FUN and we love to DANCE!
Our dance classes are designed for kids of all ages to get active and feel confident on the dancefloor.
Learning cool choreography and how to move with style but without the pressure of competitions.
Gaining the confidence to “dance as if no-one’s watching” in a safe and inclusive environment.

JAZZ BALLET FUN
(MONTVILLE)
Learn a mixture of cool choreography and how to move with confidence and ease in this fun dance class.
Students learn a mixture of dance steps and a variety of styles (jazz ballet, contemporary etc) and gain flexibility while expressing themselves to music.
For all ages and experience levels the aim is to move with confidence and enjoy the world of dance.

3:45 - 4:30pm Jazz Ballet Fun (ages 5-12) $180 Term
TAP TIME
(MONTVILLE)
Get those toes tapping! This class is for anyone who has ever been captivated by a chorus line of rhythmical tapping feet, an old Fred Astaire movie or their big sister’s tap-shoes! Come and have a go at the most cheerful forms of dance. No experience necessary.

4:30 - 5:15pm TAP TIME, 45 minutes, ages (5-12), $180 term
TINY TOTS DANCE
(MONTVILLE)
Moving with confidence, following choreography, moving in a group.
A great way to introduce your child to the world of Dance and creative movement. Learn to move with confidence, follow choreography, move in a group and express yourself to music.

3:15 - 3:45pm TINY TOTS DANCE, 30 minutes, ages (3-6), $160
An Acting Up! T-shirt must be worn to class.
